Welcome to Portland Adventist Academy. The Christ-centered  and character-driven school.

I’m so glad you stopped by our website. Here, you’ll find a lot of information to help you understand who we are and what we have to offer. But I hope you’ll take one more step. It would be an honor to show you our campus in person. I would love to introduce you to our teachers, chaplain, and students, and to answer any questions you have.

We take academics seriously. From advanced placement and college credit courses to honors and unique electives, our class offerings are rich with variety and purpose. Teachers approach the classroom trained in Project Based and Mission Focused Learning. That means there is special attention paid to real-life problem solving. Concepts are not just learned for a test, they are understood for real-life application. It is our joy to help students discover their potential to make a difference in this world.

Jesus is in our classrooms and beyond. From weekly chapels, to regular weeks of worship, Friday night community worships, as well as mission opportunities both local and global, PAA’s first and foremost purpose is to introduce students to Jesus and inspire them to live Christ-centered and character driven lives.

It would be our honor and privilege to educate your child and help them become the person God wants them to be. We welcome you with open arms and invite you to continue to browse our website, book a personal tour, and to come to see that this is a place where students thrive.

Sincerely

Our foundational text:

Everything that goes into a life of pleasing God has been miraculously given to us by getting to know, personally and intimately, the One who invited us to God. The best invitation we ever received! We were also given absolutely terrific promises to pass on to you—your tickets to participation in the life of God after you turned your back on a world filled with corruption.

So don’t lose a minute in building on what you’ve been given, complementing your basic faith with good character, spiritual understanding, alert discipline, passionate patience, reverent wonder, warm friendliness, and generous love, each dimension fitting into and developing the others. With these qualities active and growing in your lives, no grass will grow under your feet, no day will pass without its reward as you mature in your experience of our Master Jesus. Without these qualities you can’t see what’s right before you, oblivious that your old sinful life has been wiped off the books.

So, friends, confirm God’s invitation to you, his choice of you. Don’t put it off; do it now. Do this, and you’ll have your life on a firm footing, the streets paved and the way wide open into the eternal kingdom of our Master and Savior, Jesus Christ.

– 2 Peter 1:3-11
