mccray_580Blog writing has become increasingly important to professionals. But it’s not just for would-be-authors. Businesses, organizations, small business owners, artists, chefs, photographers and more turn to blogs to gain respect and connection in their fields.

PAA English teacher, Drechelle McCray knows that if her students want to write professionally, they must be introduced to the tools that support writers. That’s why she included blogging in her curriculum this year.

“Through our blog project,” says McCray, “I hope to get students out of the mindset of doing an assignment just for a letter grade. My objective is increase their writing and get them to share their voice and opinions.”

McCray says the students have fully embraced the project and are excited about it. You can check out the beginnings of their work on any of the sites below.
