“Joan Oksenholt, or Mrs. O, as she is affectionately known, has been an important part of PAA for 12 wonderful school years. But she recently made the difficult decision to accept a part-time administrator position for the Lincoln City SDA School.
Over the years, Mrs. O has taught Advanced Placement English, Honors English, Junior English, Freshmen English, World History, U.S. History, Honors U.S. History, Reading Skills, Personal Finance and Journalism.
Her pride and joy was the creation of PAA’s successful Senior Project course, a graduation requirement that sets the bar high for our seniors. It is an interdisciplinary project and the capstone of their four years of high school and it is Joan’s lasting legacy at PAA.
The great news for Joan is that she will be close to her family and her precious grandchildren. Besides her grandkids, Joan’s other hobbies are Ethiopian missions, education, students, curriculum and PAA. Her passions were our benefit. We know that we hold a special place in her heart. And she knows she has our devoted support and prayers.”
