Thanks to those who were with us for this special event! It was a fun event with some great music!

Ivan Danilich, PAA Class of 2018 alum, performs at the Nov. 6, 2022, Strings & Stories PAASS Benefit

Thanks to those who gave and pledged gifts before, during and after the event. So far generous donors have given nearly $36,000 for student scholarships from this event.

Thank you for your generosity!

As of Nov. 30, more than $40,000 has been given to fund Student Scholarships since the beginning of the fiscal year, July 1.

That means $161,215 remains to be raised to fund the $200,00 needed this fiscal year ending June 30, 2023.

Join us on Sunday, November 6, at 2:30 pm in the PAA Library for a special program.

PAA Alumnus Ivan Danilich, Class of 2018, is our special guest. Ivan is a professional musician, guitarist, and now the guitar teacher here at PAA and in addition to teaching online.

Come hear Ivan’s inspiring story, with master storyteller Dick Duerksen, of how the direction of Ivan’s life was changed because he was able to attend PAA, thanks to the student aid made available to his family.

As part of the program, you will be given an opportunity to give to support the PAA Student Scholarship (PAASS) program.

Ivan has become an excellent musician, all starting right here at PAA in guitar class with the late Tim Ellis. Today he’s a professional musician playing regularly with the likes of well-known Portland rock violinist Aaron Meyer, a guitar teacher, and music business owner.

Amidst the success he’s experienced in his young life, Ivan believes God has richly blessed him because he has remained true to God and his faith he learned at home and affirmed at PAA.

2:30 pm – Doors Open – Mixer/Reception 3:00 pm – Program begins – Includes Ivan’s story and a short concert with Ivan on guitar

A couple of short video examples of Ivan performing: Lágrima by Francisco Tárrega Fly Me To The Moon / Autumn Leaves (Cover)
